104.850
105.140
105.970
106.410

Report

We've been doing reports on a topic of our choice, I chose Gymnastics this is mine.

About 2000 years ago people did gymnastics for fun. In 1881 the International Gymnastics Federation was formed. The first competition was the 1896 Olympics in Greece. The German gymnasts dominated everyone and they almost won all the medals.

Gymnastics is the most dangerous sport in the world. By simply missing the bar you could fall and dislocate some joints. If you were to be doing an aerial and you jump to low you would try to put your hands down but you miss and land on your head. Flick Flacks are one of the most dangerous moves because you can miss the ground and land on your chest. That is why people start with simple moves.

There has been a lot of world champs in gymnastics. The 2013 champs were held in Belgium. Kohei Uchimura won the men's competition with a total of for medals.  Simone Biles won the women's competition also with for medals. The 2012 champs were in London, the most successful nation was China. There has been lots more championships in time so I only doing two.

Gymnastics is helpful for your core muscles, arm strength, flexibility and self confidence.

I also think that gymnastics needs patience because if you rush into big tricks you could end badly. Most people in my gymnastics class are starting to do Aerials, Flick Flacks and back-flips.

ANZAC

Its the end of the term and we did some ANZAC writing this is mine.

ANZAC

As I sit here and think I wonder how terrifying it would be to be in the war. In summer the sun would blaze straight at them, dust would fly in their eyes blocking their sight with hardly  any water around to drink.

In winter it would be wet and muddy their feet would slowly  rot from the dump, flies would fall drowning them, Lice picking at their  flesh, rats running with their food, even though it wasn’t the best.

Still thinking I’m glad it’s over.

See you next term. :) :)

WRITING

In writing I wrote a strory that i'm really happy about, this is my start.

                                   THE SURVIVOR

“BANG!” Fire sprang up, children fled from burning flames. Reaching the end of the frost, Lilac couldn’t bear to watch her Village burn, sprinting back into the frost lilac hoped no one would find her.

NUMBER KNOWLEDGE

At school we've been learning number knowledge for our maths, I needed to work, on write the new number, so I went through some math books till I found a good page, after that I went trough the questions and answered them. Now I understand it.

JUGGLING WITH MANDARINS

We did a news article on Juggling with mandarins I did it on the peace where pip climbs the climbing wall in the Igloo, this is it my one.

On Thursday night a teenaged boy was discovered in the soon to be opened Igloo stadium. Rob Gale was just shutting down the stadium when he heard a boy's voice shouting “HELP!” He rushed over to where he thought he heard the voice. “What are you doing up there!” Shouted Rob “It doesn’t matter just get me down!” Rob slowly talked the boy down.

Rob was amazed by what the boy achieved especially that he had no rope while climbing the hardest wall in the stadium.

As the boy left he glimpsed back at the Igloo imagining what it would be like on the day it opens. After Rob closed the stadium he said quietly to himself “That boy is a good climber.
